Er Rabba

This is an old settlement with modern buildings. The history of Rabba probably began with the city Ar or Ar-Moab, which is mentioned in Numbers 21:15 and Numbers 21:9. While the Israelites of the Exodus spared Ar and the whole land Moab, the Amorite King Sihon ransacked the city in an attack launched over the Arnon River (Numbers21:28).

Al-Rabbah is a historical Jordanian town , affiliated with the Qasr Brigade in the Kerak Governorate, south of the capital, Amman . It was one of the greatest cities of Moab in ancient times, and it was called “the Lord of Moab.” The goddess of Moab is located in the middle of a fertile plain, overlooking the Mujib Valley , the Dead Sea and the Jerusalem Mountains . It is surrounded by several villages, from the south it is bordered by the villages of Rakin and Al Wasiyah, on the east it is bordered by the town of Al Jadida and on the north by the Kasbah of the Qasr Brigade, on the west it is bordered by the villages of Peter and Dimna, and on the northwest by the town of Al Yarout. The goddess is located on the old royal road . Among its most important external roads: the Kings Road south leading to Kerak and southern Jordan, the northern royal road leading to Wadi Mujib, and the eastern road leading to Lajjun
