This morning drive about 1 hour to the well preserved ancient city of Jerash Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. We visit the spectacular Forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Jerash has a rhythm not seen anywhere else in Jordan. Back in Amman we discover the historical places in downtown, it should come as no surprise that Amman is brimming with activity and has no end of exciting things to do. Amman, already mentioned in the Bible as Rabbath Ammon, is a bustling modern city. The historical places are located in downtown, where we visit the Citadel with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period. Then we have a round in the Archaeological Museum. Visit the Roman Theatre from 2nd century with 6000 seats and time to stroll through Jabal Amman, one of the oldest parts of Amman. Overnight Amman hotel.
After breakfast check out, and we start traveling southwards Heading to Mt Nebo most sacred sites in Jordan with views across the Promised Land Rising majestically from the rugged landscape of the region just northwest of Madaba, Mount Nebo is of great religious importance due to its biblical associations. Nebo is mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land before his death. Next stop is Hammamat Ma'in with it hot springs and waterfall. Ma'in is located 264 metres below sea level in a beautiful surrounding, the therapeutic qualities, treatment of aid blood circulation of the mineral water, attracted people since the Roman times.
